The Sisley Make-up Brush Guide

Although it may be tempting to apply make-up with your fingers, make-up artists prefer to use brushes for the best results. But which brush should you use for which product?

Sisley brushes are made in collaboration with master brushmaker Raphaël. They are high-quality and easy to use with their careful, understated design that achieves professional results. Here, we delve deeper into these tools needed for flawless make-up.

Foundation brushes

You need to use the right brush to evenly apply liquid foundation, like Sisleÿa Le Teint, and adjust coverage. The tapered Sisley Fluid Foundation Brush works in perfect harmony with the product.

Flawless-complexion lovers will want a rounded, angled brush, which should be used in circular movements for effective blurring.

Want to get on top of shine? Apply your loose or compact powder using a rounded, dome-shaped brush until you achieve the desired coverage.

There's nothing like blush for an instant healthy glow. Apply it to your cheekbones, smiling to make the apples of your cheeks more pronounced and using an angled brush that will glide over the contours of your face.

For a quick touch-up at the end of the day or between meetings, pop a retractable brush in your bag and use it to reapply powder, blush or compact foundation.

Eye brushes

The best way to apply eyeshadow is with an eyeshadow brush. This brush can also blend the Phyto-Eye Twist eyeshadow pencil..

To blend multiple eyeshadow shades, use an Eyeshadow Smudge Brush. The flat side is ideal for applying light shades, while the tip is perfect for adding darker shading to structure the eye area.

Prefer a graphic eye look? Draw a careful line along your top or bottom lashes using an eyeliner brush. Pro tip: wet it to turn any eyeshadow into eyeliner!
