How to apply your fragrance?
Fragrance application is an art form that goes far beyond a simple spritz. Mastering your technique will allow you to fully enjoy the subtleties of your perfume and extend it over time. Read our tips on how to apply your fragrance flawlessly and make it last longer.

Good habits for fragrance application
Moisturise your skin
Before you spray your fragrance, apply a body lotion to your skin to help it last longer. You can also use a perfumed body cream to intensify the notes of your fragrance or give them a new dimension by choosing a different scent to the one you usually wear.
Target your pulse points
To ensure your fragrance disperses perfectly all day long, spray it on the pulse points of your neck, the inside of your wrists or behind your earlobes. The increased blood flow to these areas means that they give off heat, which intensifies the perfume molecules and helps them to develop.
Master your technique
Depending on the concentration of your fragrance and the desired result, spray the fragrance 1 to 3 times at a distance of about 15 cm from the skin. Allow to air-dry and do not rub it as this may alter the notes of your fragrance and reduce its staying power. For a more subtle result, you can use the “cloud” method: spray your fragrance into the air and then walk through the mist. The scent molecules will settle lightly on your hair and shoulders for an airy result.
Refresh as needed
If you feel your fragrance has faded or you can’t smell it any more, reapply it using your 30 ml bottle, handbag atomiser or a sample, spraying it a few times on your pulse points. A must-have for quick touch-ups.
The full fragrance ritual

Scented shower gels and soaps
Gentle and invigorating
Scented shower gels and soaps are an integral part of the fragrance ritual. Their stimulating or soothing notes make showering or bathing a truly relaxing experience and help enhance the fragrance you apply later and make it last longer.

Perfumed body creams and lotions
Delicate and moisturising
Perfumed body creams and lotions are a great way to intensify the notes of your favourite fragrance or to wear a perfume more subtly. They not only delicately scent the skin, but also provide the hydration and comfort it needs.

Perfumed deodorants
Fresh and protective
A perfumed deodorant is an everyday companion that complements or intensifies the notes of the fragrance in the same line while masking the odours of perspiration. It provides an instant feeling of freshness that lasts all day long.

Eaux de toilette
Fresh and light
Eaux de toilette are easy to wear and give a fresh feeling thanks to their perfume concentration of around 5 to 12%. They are ideal for daily use.

Eaux de parfum
Intense and long-lasting
An eau de parfum has a higher concentration of perfume, which gives the fragrance a rich, long-lasting trail that lingers on the skin for several hours. It can adapt to any situation, from special occasions to daily use.

How can I make my fragrance last?
To make your fragrance last, spray 1 to 3 times onto clean, moisturised skin, preferably after a shower. Target pulse points such as the inside of the wrists and neck, as the natural heat of these areas helps to disperse the scent. Reapply throughout the day to refresh your fragrance trail.
Can I wear perfume when I am out in the sun?
Applying perfume before going out in the sun is generally not recommended. The ingredients of some fragrances may react with UV rays, causing irritation or the appearance of pigmentation spots. To continue wearing your fragrance without risk, apply it to your clothes instead.
When is the best time to apply my fragrance?
The best time to apply your fragrance is generally after a shower or bath, when your skin is clean and still slightly damp. Moisture on the skin helps the fragrance linger by allowing the scent molecules to adhere more effectively.
Does perfume damage jewellery?
The ingredients in perfume, particularly alcohol, can discolour or damage the surface of metal jewellery. To avoid unpleasant surprises, it is best to remove your jewellery before applying your fragrance.
Does perfume stain clothing?
The oils and alcohol in perfume can stain clothing, especially delicate materials such as silk and satin or light-coloured fabrics. To avoid marks, spray your fragrance at least 20 cm away from your clothes, or apply it directly to your skin.
How do I remove a perfume stain from my clothes?
To remove a perfume stain from an item of clothing, gently dab the stain with a clean cloth, then rinse the back of the fabric with cold water. Apply a mild soap, wash according to the care instructions on the label and check that the stain has disappeared before putting the item in the tumble dryer, as long as it is safe to do so, per the care instructions.
