Finally, the Protective Shaving Care boosts skin repair and preserves the skin barrier thanks to the benefits of Allantoin. Shea butter and oil, Biosaccharides solution and Glycerin of vegetable origin, contribute to maintaining hydration levels while providing comfort to the skin.
After rinsing, skin is instantly moisturised, more comfortable and does not feel tight. It is soothed, relieved from razor burn and the skin barrier is preserved. With continued use, it is less sensitive to the mechanical action of shaving, becoming more supple, smooth and clear.
Its transformative cream-to-foam texture evolves into a genuine skincare cream to be worked in circular motions to obtain a light, unctuous foam that is easy to apply and rinse off.

The Protective Shaving Care is used as the second step in the Sisleÿum for Men routine, after the Purifying Cleansing Gel and before the Revitalising Toning Lotion.
Take the Protective Shaving Care and apply a thin layer to clean, damp skin. Use light, circular motions to work the product into a lather on the beard, then proceed with shaving. Rinse off the excess and gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel.

Yes, by softening the skin, Sisleÿum Protective Shaving Care helps to prevent ingrown hairs. For best results, we recommend using a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week as part of your skincare routine.
Sisleÿum Protective Shaving Care is a rinse-off product, so it does not replace post-shave moisturising. However, thanks to its lipid-replenishing active ingredients, you won't experience any tightness after rinsing.
In line with standard recommendations, you should replace your blades as soon as they start to lose their sharpness. A well-sharpened blade ensures a smooth glide and allows your Sisleÿum skincare product to work to its full potential.
It depends on your shaving method:
- Shaving on damp skin (manual or electric): Yes. It creates a protective barrier that ensures the blade glides smoothly, delivering a comfortable, close and precise shave.
- Electric dry shaving:
This product is not necessary. Shave directly onto dry skin, then apply our Sisleÿum Revitalising Toning Lotion to soothe and instantly revitalise the skin.
