Fee Greening’s favorite technique, the traditional dip pen and ink drawing, is inspired by Medieval, Gothic and Flemish art. Her most-loved themes? Wildlife, astrology and Medieval folklore, sprinkled with a hint of mystery and humor.

“I was gifted a pen and ink set when I was a child. It’s a very delicate process: when you start you might scratch the paper without any ink coming out, and then suddenly a huge blot flows right over your drawing. It took time to master the technique, but once I had I loved it so much, it was all I wanted to do.”

Eau du Soir, a timeless fragrance

Created by Hubert d’Ornano for his wife Isabelle, Eau du Soir evokes a stroll through Seville’s Alcazar Gardens. A unique scent with floral, spiced and chypre notes conjures up memories of warm summer evenings for anyone who crosses its path.

Christine d'Ornano, Global Vice President of Sisley, invited Fee Greening to contribute her talents to the brand for an exclusive limited edition this year.

“I’ve been working with Fee since she was just out of college. Over the years, we have asked her to do many illustrations for Sisley. I love her work inspired by medieval illuminations, with a surrealist element to it. This year we decided to create an overall theme for our Christmas campaign, and it seemed natural to ask Fee to design it.“

Fee Greening is offering us a glimpse into her magical vision of Paris beneath the starry skies. A stroll past the City of Light’s most famous landmarks, depicted with joyful, festive illustrations.

“Visiting Paris is magical. Strolling along the banks of the Seine or winding through the streets: I feel more romantic, more reflective, more inspired. I’ve tried to capture the city’s charm, that feeling of stepping into a classic children’s storybook.”
