Why is Mother's Day never on the same date?
With a few exceptions, there is no fixed calendar date for Mother's Day: it is held on a specific Sunday each year. In France, it is celebrated on the last Sunday in May, unless it falls on the same day as Pentecost; in that case, it is moved to the first Sunday in June.
