With age, make-up can sometimes seem to bleed into fine lines and accentuate drawn features – creating the opposite of the desired effect. For Leslie Dumeix, it’s not about giving up on make-up but adopting the philosophy of “less product but a better technique”. Discover her tips for reviving, smoothing and brightening the face, without any cakiness.
Moisturizing skin is the first essential step in a successful anti-aging make-up look, and this step becomes critical as you get older.
To revive the eye area, Leslie Dumeix begins by massaging the eye contour using the Ridoki, a tool inspired by Asian techniques that helps to stimulate the microcirculation and decongest the delicate eye contour area. She then applies Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge Crème Contour des Yeux et des Lèvres, whose texture firms, smooths and moisturizes for a visibly fresher and more rested eye area.
Finally, before moving on to make-up, she applies Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge to the rest of the face to create smooth, radiant skin.
Over time, dark circles deepen, darkening the eye area and making it look more tired. Leslie’s key step is correcting just where you need it. She precisely applies Phyto-Cernes Éclat only to dark circles and never too close to the lash line, to prevent the product from bleeding into fine lines. She then sets the concealer with a veil of Phyto-Teint Poudre Libre in shade No. 1 Shimmer.
“The trick here is to apply very little powder under the eyes, but you still need to set the concealer so it doesn't migrate into creases.”
For a natural look, Leslie is all about adding a touch of radiance. For this, she uses Phyto-Eye Twist No. 9 Pearl. She applies a light touch to illuminate the eyelids, in the inner corner of the eye to neutralize shadowy areas, and under the brow bone to define the brow line and create a subtle lifting effect.
For blush, Leslie prefers cream textures that make cheeks look fuller.
She applies Phyto-Blush Twist high on the cheekbone, then blends upwards with a brush towards the temples.

Lips tend to become thinner over time, and their outline slowly fades. To redefine and add volume, Leslie always starts by outlining them with a lip pencil, slightly exaggerating their natural line. She then blends the colour with her finger to avoid a harsh line.
“I recommend going for glossy or creamy finishes on the lips. They give more volume than matte textures.”
To open up the eye area, Leslie Dumeix recommends applying a taupe brown eyeshadow slightly above the crease. The trick is to sweep it diagonally towards the tip of the eyebrow to create a lifting effect. When it comes to eyeliner, apply it only along the upper lashes, then smudge it outwards with a blending brush. Finish by applying several coats of mascara.
