The formula
The Shea butterselected by Sisley is obtained by hot-pressing Shea nuts from Burkina Faso. It comes from a fair trade channel: the nuts are only harvested once the fruit has fallen to the ground to respect the tree’s natural cycle; the kernels are dried traditionally in the sun; and the work of collecting and turning them into butter is done by women, who thus earn their own income and enjoy a certain measure of financial independence.
