Sisley Research has drawn on the latest scientific advances to offer an effective solution to the three physiological causes of sensitive skin so it can finally be free from daily discomfort.
Sensitive skin reacts to normally inoffensive stimuli, such as chemical, physical, emotional or lifestyle-related factors. These reactions are due to hyperreactive skin nerve fibres, which cause feelings of discomfort (prickling, tightness, itching, hot sensations), followed by a cascade of reactions in the skin. This causes redness in particular and weakens the skin barrier.
Sensitive skin may also lack lipids, which are key to nourishing and preventing skin dehydration, which further compromises its protective barrier.
