All Day All Year: The Perfect Shield

UV rays can particularly damage the skin. They speed up skin ageing and cause things like age spots, wrinkles, and sagging. There are two types of UV rays.


UVA rays can travel through water and glass. They contribute to sun damage and harm cell membranes, DNA, collagen, and elastin fibres, which makes skin sag.


UVB rays are partially absorbed by the ozone layer and only account for 5% of UV rays. These rays are the ones which tan your skin; A natural mechanism where your body attempts to protect itself from the sun. Just like UVA rays, they contribute to sun damaged skin.

UVA rays pass through water and glass, contributing to the photoageing of skin.
