Sisley, or the quest

for excellence

Chapter 01
It takes two
to make one destiny
Chapter 01
It takes two
to make one destiny
In the beginning, a chance meeting
It all began in 1955 when Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano happened to cross paths. They both had very distinct personalities and interests: they were accomplished travelers who shared a love for art and a taste for entrepreneurial endeavors.
The meeting between these two visionaries naturally led to an idea, which was unprecedented at the time: the union of nature and science for the benefit of cosmetics, which took shape in 1976 with the launch of the Sisley brand.

Storytelling
I've built my family life and my own fleeting life around Isabelle, and it is with her that I built
Sisley, a one-of-a-kind company.

In the d’Ornano family, the desire to innovate and the taste for entrepreneurial endeavors and cosmetics have been passed on from generation to generation.
Three of their five children have joined the company and have invested their lives in it. Elisabeth d’Ornano, who was the “face of Sisley” in the 1990s, now devotes her time to her association, which helps hyperactive children.
Starting out at the company as a sales representative in France, Philippe d’Ornano developed Sisley with his parents to transform it into an international company. Today, he is Chairman of the Board.
After having begun her professional career in the United States, Christine d’Ornano joined Sisley in 1993. She founded the Mexican subsidiary, developed the brand in Latin America and then opened up and developed the British and Irish markets. She is now Global Vice President at the company. In 2017, after her first professional experience abroad and with her diploma from Brown University in hand, Daria d’Ornano, Elisabeth's daughter, became Head of Sisley’s Creative Studio.
A sense of innovation, a taste for entrepreneurial endeavors and a strong devotion to cosmetics have thus been passed down from generation to generation. This same passion also guided the company’s teams, all talented men and women, whose commitment equally contributed to the rise of Sisley.
