Phyto-Eye Twist in Lagoon "makes brown eyes 'even deeper' and 'brings out the blue in pale eyes"
"INTO THE BLUE.
'Instead of wearing jewelry, I love the idea of makeup as an accessory - like this gorgeous jewel tone,' says makeup artist Robin Black. Some blues can skew a little green or yellow when they're blended out, but Black loves Sisley Phyto-Eye Twist in Lagoon, a satin pencil with just a hint of sheen, because it holds its rich sapphire colore whether it's laid on thick or thin. It makes brown eyes 'even deeper' and 'brings our the blue in pale eyes,' she says.
To apply, Black plays to the eye shape: 'Intense color on the lower lash line can overwhelm some people. When I apply it underneath, I use the thickest color on the outside edge and thin it out toward the inner corner,' she says. 'This gives the illusion of wide-set eyes and helps balance out the lid.' After that, she uses the pencil 'like you would with a crayon,' from lash line to crease, and blends with her fingertips. 'The formula glides on like a cream but sets to a long-wear finish that doesn't fade."
