Sisley’s strong values are built on its family culture, its place in the grand tradition of French cosmetics, and its international ambitions.
- A French company
- Launched in 1976 by Hubert and Isabelle d'Ornano
- A brand distributed in more than 90 countries
- 85% of revenue from exports
- 4,000 collaborators worldwide, from 100 different nationalities
For three generations, the d’Ornano family has created and led businesses in the high-end cosmetic sector.
A visionary entrepreneur, in 1976 Hubert d’Ornano launched Sisley with a novel idea: relying on technological advancements to use the best aspects of plants and essential oils in beauty products. Under his direction and thanks to the work of his teams, over nearly four decades Sisley has become one of the most prestigious companies in the world of high-end cosmetics.
At his side since the company’s beginnings, his wife Isabelle d’Ornano, President of the Supervisory Board, has been particularly invested in the creation of the products and the brand’s image. Two of their children have worked with them for more than twenty years: Philippe d’Ornano is President and Christine d’Ornano is Global Vice President, supervising marketing strategy and running the Great Britain office.
Sisley is a brand that is present on all 5 continents, in more than 90 countries. The company draws 85% of its revenue from export and has experienced one of the largest increases in the sector.
In order to ensure that expert advice is communicated, Sisley distributes its products through distributors, as well as and especially through its thirty subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Its international growth has followed a rapid trajectory, and Sisley products have been met with growing success worldwide.
The company’s production, administration, and research laboratories are located in France. Sisley products are primarily manufactured in its ultra-modern factory in Blois, located in the Loir-et-Cher department.
The new Center for Research and Cultivation was opened in January 2011 in the Parisian region, In Saint-Ouen l’Aumône. Located on 13 hectares, the Center features the Research and Development laboratories, the logistics hub, as well as the majority of the company’s administrative services.
The headquarters are located in the heart of Paris, on the Avenue de Friedland.
